Default 10 bolt woes, what else is new? :)

97 GM 10 bolt, 111k miles on it, been purring for a while, got real bad this morning and is making some uglier noise. Doesn't sound like anything's broken yet, nothing clattering around but something is definitely wrong. I can't afford to drop the money on a built rear, and my car is a daily driver and barely gets jumped on, if ever. Anything I can do to prolong the life of this thing until I can find a good condition rear to swap into it? New fluid and additive help? Maybe heavier weight fluid? If there's nothing lemme know and I'll just keep searching, but atm I don't even want to drive the thing. Have to drive the wifes vehicle until I can find it or she starts working agian, and then I'll be walking to work or bumming a ride.

ATM it's just going to stay in the garage, we can work around with 1 vehicle atm, just need to find a used one. If you have a good used one lemme know, I'll probably have to have it shipped but I'm willing to pay. Wish I could afford to do a 12 bolt or 9" but that's just not viable. Got enough debt as it is

I had a 10 bolt out of an Camaro SS that only has 6,000 miles on it. It still has the bar code tag on it! We removed it and installed a Moser 9 inch when we did a complete build for the customer. $400.00 plus shipping. Bob
