1LE driveshaft question

1LE driveshaft question
i have a 1995 formula firehawk that originally had a steel driveshaft. the previous owner recieved a recall letter from GM stating that the car needed to be brought in to replace the steel shaft for an aluminum due to vibration issues. my problem is that i went to the parts store to pick up some new U-joints for it, and all they showed were the flush mount type with clips that go on the inside and my shaft has recessed caps with locks on the outside. does anyone know what U-joints the 1LE shafts take? i looked up the part number for a third gen shaft and it showed a 280. is that what i need? any help would be awsome!!!!
thanks in advance

The 1LE shaft uses 1310 joints. If it is going to be used with the stock rear(stock yoke) then you will need one "combo" joint 1310 to factory. I dont have access to the part numbers for the combo joint....maybe a google search will help.

ANyone ever figure out which is the correct U joint to use for a 1LE shaft? is it the same as a later model one since they have the same alum driveshaft? I bought stock 94 replacements and they don't work at all????
