Tonight i was leaving a parking lot and i was driving about 10-15 mph when i heard an extremely loud POP...

when i got onto the highway my car was vibrating kinda like an out of balance tire... then it started making a loud humming sound from the rear and it was driving weird.. i pulled over checked the tires and everything was fine..

got back on the highway and noticed when i accelerate the rear makes a tink tink clinking sound? (also does something similar when i turn)..

also when in park the car can roll .5 to 1 foot back and forth...


im pretty sure my rear is going out.. and the tranny has been shifting extremly hard and shitty into 2nd...

 

sounds like a rear end problem for sure.

 

ya this sucks.. does anyone know about how long i have till it goes..

because im living in austin right now.. and there are no performance shops out here..

would it make it back to Houston so i can take it to get a 12 bolt or 9" put in?

 

Definately sounds like the rear, you may make it back to houston but its a risk.

 

definetly risky driving with your rearend making that much noise.

 

ok well i drove very softly for about 20 miles today... sometimes it felt almost 100% normal.. other times it was humming and vibrating a little.. still makes the light tink tink sound under accel....

we will see how it goes.. i just know i wil be going 80 in the middle of no where when it goes out haha
