Installing Caliper Mounting Bracket I'm sorry if this has already been discussed, I tried searching but the search feature isn't working for me....
I'm installing a narrowed Moser 12 bolt rear into my 98' Camaro. I took the caliper mounting brackets off my 10 bolt, and bolted them to the new rear. The problem I'm having is the bracket doesn't clear the bearing on the new axle.
The major problem I'm having is I cannot remove the bearing, as someone welded it to the axle itself.
I was wondering if anyone has had this problem before? Or possibly know of an aftermarket bracket made by Moser?

I would say you have two problems here.
1. The caliper bracket must be slid on the axle before the bearings are pressed on.
2. Moser axles are induction heat treated. Welding an induction heat treated axle will in a sense undo the heat treating causing the axle to be weak at the point of the weld.
