do we have to change it? if we do how often? how much would i need if i do have to change it? thanks guys

also where can i find the gm posi stuff? will autozone carry it?

I used just over two quarts of Royal Purple 75W90. It claims you don't need to use the posi additive since it has some type of additive in it.

I would buy the GM friction modifier. You can get it at any dealership and it is only $5.
Changing your gear oil every 10-20K miles is not a bad idea to keep it alive.
