Default 4.10 gear install

How hard is it really ?

I have a 02 z28 6sp, ABS, no TCS.

Im real good handyman wise, but this will be the first gear install ive done, Im real good at following directions and what not, so i figure if i had a install guide or something to go by i should be able to tackle it no prob.

ANyone know where i could possibly find one ?

Not that big of a job to tackle, just get you the right tools before you start. Not like you have to spend a fortune just get some basic indicators that will work long enough to do what you have to do. Harbour freight actually has some nice cheap precision tools.

1. Dial indicator & magnetic base
2. Dial caliper
3. 6' straight edge to measure pinion depth "square stock works really good"
4. Paint to get a pattern on the gears with
5. Plenty of clean rags and brake clean

We just got thru doing this yesterday. Just go slow. Follow a good set of directions and measure everything twice.

Good luck sir.
