Default Still Vibrates......

So after messing around with the car for awhile it still vibrates. I really dont know what it could be at this point and it looks like I have to spend more money and take to a drivetrain specialist which sucks. I set the pinion angle to 0 -1 -2 -3 and it didnt seem to change a thing. The rear and driveshaft were all brand new when I got them and now only have like 125 miles im wondering if maybe something is screwed up in the center section if thats possible? The driveshaft was lengthened 1'' and balanced it sticks out of the trans tailhousing about 3/4-1'' getting the driveshaft lengthened did help stop some of the vibration but not all of it. The vibration isnt noticeable until around 70+ and gets worse the higher you go. It vibrates the center console pretty good I really dont know what else to everything seems to be right and changing the pinion angle doesnt seem to have much to any effect. Anyone got any other ideas as im starting to get a little frustrated but really hate to spend the money taking it to a drivetrain shop after this rear stuff already cost me around 2500.

What kind of suspension do you have?

Have you tried to shift in a different gear and bring the engine speed to the same point?

Could it be rear wheel bearings?

Suspension is comp engineering drag shocks adjustable panhard bar umi tunnel mount torque arm. Gear selection doesnt matter it seems the same in 2nd 3rd 4th. Everything was fine until I swapped the rear.

I am having same problem.just installed moser 12 bolt drivesahft is brand new 3 inch steel 1350 joints and been balanced.at track about 70 mph starts to vibrate the faster u go the worse it gets and it will not drive through it.took driveshaft back and they said they found about 15 thousandths runout. They fixed that and rebalanced it I installed it same problem.I then installed the rockland bushing the yoke has a lot less play now,but same vibration, same speed.Luckily the driveshaft place i got mine from is getting me a 3-1/2 inch aluminum which evidentally has a higher "critical speed".Should have new shaft wednesday i will let u know

Alright sounds good im not really sure where to start looking at this point everything is like brand new. Lots of cars have steel driveshafts and they dont vibrate like this. And if it had a little vibration I wouldnt care but this is not only a little vibration lol it sounds like something is going to blow apart from underneath at higher speeds lol its worse on decel which I dont understand.

have you tried rotating the drive shaft 180* out? And did you check your wheels I read some other things online with others cars and read everything from flywheel, something with the motor, messed up tire, wheel bearings, exhaust vib, the type of mounts. This guy in a bracket racing forum clamped a piece of aluminum underneth his car starting from the back and found his vibration to be in the front (on jack stands).

gl hope ya find the ghost. post up results when you do

Maybe the steel makes more of a vibration??

man does this sound familiar...I installed my M12
new vibration, every gear, around 1800 rpms...
new tires
still vibrates
then new brakes
still vibrates
all new non adjustable suspension stuff
still vibrates
, took the damn rear out, had it looked at by Midwest Chassis, took it home, changed all the bearings, retightened and triple checked everything, put it back in...
still vibrates
took it to get an alignement still vibrates,, BUT...learned my thurst angle is out by .36...guy told me to stop beating on my car, and i will now have to get a alignment every 6 months,,nothing i can do to fix....HAHAHA (like im gonna stop having fun)

researched on here and found out that M12's commonly need to be used with adjustable LCA's to center my rear end. I have just ordered my LCA's today, and am praying that i have finally found my answer,,,the wifes not going to let me spend any more cash, so i hope its the final answer. ((i had NO vibration before the M12)) Good luck man.

Yeah I talked to umi performance and they told me how to setup my pinion angle with the moser 9'' and they said some of there customers have 9''s and they vibrate so I guess im just going to deal with it its at different speeds. They told me ill probably feel some vibration through the tunnel mounted torque arm and since the 9'' is bigger it will add more vibration. So at this point im 99 percent positive the pinion angle is right as I followed umi's direction and some of the vibration went away but its still there. Im not a picky person and could deal with alittle vibration but this is alot at higher speeds its worse on decel usually around 65-70 on decel it vibrates kinda bad but oh well track season is coming so we will have to see what happens its got a driveshaft safety loop so im hoping nothing comes apart.

The tunnel mount TA will make the vibration more noticeable. I hope you find it's origin and correct it. GL

Could it have been a resonance issue based on the diameter of the driveshaft? I was talking with a friend (older guy) who has build many driveshafts and he was explaining to me how he determines which size tubing to use for an application. He told me every one will have resonance at a certain RPM, so he chooses proper diameter to keep it just above or close to the max RPM.
