diff trouble
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Last week I noticed that behind my right rear tire grease was leaking from the axel seal so I had it changed by a local shop. When I get the car back I noticed that the car was vibrating. I also noticed that when I turn the sterring wheel and roll that the car shakes from the rear. I took it back and he said that maybe the e-brake was getting stuck. He tested the car by rolling back and fourth it did not do it when the sterring wheel was straight. It only does it when I turn. He wants to take apart the diff cause he believes that the gears might be stripped. HELP ME PLEASE

Good call...I just assumed you had a Torsen since you said the mechanic stated he thought there were problems with the GEARS in your differential.
Auburn Differentials utilize clutches to transfer torque.
Torsen diffs use gears.
What year is your ride? I BELIEVE that the Torsens came in the LS1 cars from 99 on, but someone else should probably verify that.
If you look at the thread I started in the ''Gears and Axles'' section, I have the rear out of my car, but am having similar problems that you are. (At least I would be if I put it in the car as is)
So maybe we can get some answers!
