Default 12bolt 4 channel

Hey Guys,

I read the sticky on this but had a questions, if I wanted to stick a 4 channel rear into a 3 channel car, can I do that and just get rid of the rear ABS completely without doing anything to the rear end?

Sure...just don't hook up the sensors. But it won't get rid of only the rear ABS - your entire ABS will be gone.

I would assume the same would be true if you have a 3 channel car and use a 4 channel rear and dont plug the traction control in?

That was the original question just worded differently. So the question is how cheap of rear justifies losing ABS..

I'm kind of going through the same thing with the 4 channel to 3 channel thing. I found a 3 channel 12 bolt w/ 4.11s locally for cheap. Well, I figured I could convert it to 3.73s and 4 channel for not too much. Then moser quotes me $843 shipped for a set of axles w/ the reluctor rings installed and a set of 3.73 gears. So there goes the savings. I could just swap gears and call it good, but my car is a DD in rainy *** florida and I HAVE to keep ABS.

Instead of making a 4 channel rear work in a 3 channel car, what does it take to make a 3 channel car a 4 channel car? Traction control module, wiring harness, .....?
