Default Something wrong with my driveshaft?

when i did my 9" swap a few months back we had to pull the driveshaft out, when i was packing it around i felt something slide on the inside, i turned it upside down and it slid the other way, kind of like tenis ball in a tube, i believe the shaft is out of an 02 fbody, but it says something about about 3 rivers or rivers on it, so im not sure if its stock or aftermarket. either way has anyone ever heard of this in a driveshaft? could it be bad on anything or affect the balance of the weight?

It's probably the cardboard inside. Search for broken driveshafts and you should find a pic
