i have a 01 z28 with 76k on it.. i bought the car used with 46k. i dont know if the previous owner had the diff. fluid changed ...will it hurt it if in fact has not been changed before??? or just go ahead a chnage it???

pretty much my first time doing this..so any writeups out there.

i know what i need:

gasket or rtv silycone
2 qts of fluid
additive gm...unless i go with rp fluid.

Its not like a transmission, go ahead and do it. Use a gasket, not RTV.
