Ford 8.8" issues

Ford 8.8" issues I've noticed some that people are concerned about discussing Ford 8.8" rears on this board. Please feel free to discuss the technical merits of an 8.8" in this forum including: strengths and weaknesses, installation, troubleshooting, etc. We are a tech board and want technical information shared.
Based upon what I've seen, there are several non-sponsors that offer this product. The issue we had was with one non-sponsor shop and individual(s) that were pimping their stuff like crazy, but the shop refused to even consider supporting the site. Not only is that unfair to the shops that pay the bills to keep this site up so you can talk about cars and share your knowledge, there were potential questions about the product/shop itself.
In the 2 years we've been up, this is one of the few products we've had issues about. Any further issues should be taken up with the Admins.
