What breaks in a 10 bolt?

This is what happens....
The set up was Motive gears 4.10s, and new bearings/races and seals.. that was it.. no cover, no arp bolts.. nada..
Took about a years worth of Friday nights at the track, and then on our last test and tune night.. she held up for one 11 sec pass, then when I went for more on my 2nd launch.. the axle gave up!!!
You cant pick out any one weak link.. I think that the Motive gears being alittle thicker really helped that part out.. but small weak stuff will break when you hammer it hard enough...
I am just rebuilding this one as we speak, keepin the same gears, and went to an Eaton Diff, and Moser axles, and the TA cover... I will post the after-math of a few 5K clutch dumps if she cant hang!!!

my car has 114,xxx miles and the 10bolt has me a bit concerned i changed the fluid last night and it looked pretty good inside, i could still see the machining marks on the teeth. wondering if someone might have already replaced the gears once. hoping to get at least one track weekend out of it before it calls it quits.

The 7.5s are just weak all around. I killed the tiny spider gears in mine shifting to 2nd gear the other day! I am getting stuff together to build an 8.8 for it. If I take it to the track with the 7.5 I will have a trailer with me for sure.
