Best angle for adding rearend fluid?

Best angle for adding rearend fluid? lately i have been noticing that the rearend has left a few drops now and then after a hard racing/launching
i was wondering what would be the best angle to have the rearend in when just adding fluid do i need the front on the car up too and do i need to lift the car from the chassis or the rearend? thanks

it does sound like a pinion seal might be leaking and the best way to put fluid in without putting it on a hoist is a small pump like INMY01TA had mentioned, i had the same problem and that what i did with a lil pump!
Once the rear is basically level, you can do like I did, I have a chrome cover made which has a hole and fitting tapped into it to just add the fluid without trying to wedge something up from over the top and making a mess.
