Pic request on Thunder Racing Stud Kit
Pic request on Thunder Racing Stud Kit I bought a new girdle & stud kit from a friend (never installed) and have a question/request.
Can someone please provide a picture of the studs installed in the rear before putting the cover on? I would feel better seeing what the final result should look like when I'm done. I did a search, but never found what I was looking for.
Secondly, anyone know what size allen socket is used to torque down the studs?

they're jsut studs.
2 on each bearing cap. pull one bolt out, and put the studs in...repeat.
that's like asking for pictures of lug nuts installed....its not complicated.
i put the kit on my car, had to grind MAJOR clearance into the inner edge of the gasket surface on my diff girdle for the studs to clear.

I'm bumping this back to the top because I'm about to install the same thing, a stud kit and rear girdle and was wondering who's cover and studs you used.

Edit: a searched turned up that yours was a MAC. I bought a T/A cover, so maybe it has provisions for the studs on the cover.

I bought the TA performance brand. I heard the studs were from ARP. It was easy and straight forward. I then did a track day a week after install at 130 mph+ each lap and all is well!
