Default LT1 Diff carriers

So ive been looking into building a rear end out of a 95 camaro, I got the rear end for cheap, but realize it wasnt a posi unit. Are the V6 Camaro rear ends the same as whats in the V8? Should i even bother with a auburn diff, or should i just look for a rear end out of a LS car?

Thanks,

Housings are identical for V6 and V8 cars.

thats correct. However, your axles for the V-6 may or may not be splined different from the new posi you get. You want to make sure the axles are correct or you may need V8 axles. Something to research.
