Gear pattern help, please!

Jeff,
I read the link you gave me and that seemed to make better since. Thanks. OK I took your advice and went with a smaller shim than factory. Factory was .038(first pattern) and the shim I had to use was a .032. Here is the pattern it gave me. How does it look now? All opinions and advice welcome.
