4.10 & 100 wet shot !! Drag use motor ??? =s
know that the 4.10 will kill more power if you dont have ur rim/tires matched ... research your best choice on ls1tech ... in the end ur drivin the car.
4.10 best for drag
373z best @ street
i say don't kill the motor with 4.10z ..... on your dd + get better adviced on how to install .... many folks around here get em 4.10z breakin(eaten up) BECOZ installation waz wrong PERIOD !!

10-bolt+6spd+traction+N2O+4.10s= TOW TRUCK eventually!
I had 4.10s in my car for the last year and absolutely love them however that POS rear end GM put in our cars does not like that gear. You will shred the teeth off, break the carrier or break an axle eventually!
3.73s are more forgiving and will last a bit longer but will eventually give you problems in the same manner as described above......
Auto cars are not as hard on the little ol 10-bolt so you will get away with either gear for quite awhile...
Personally,i would and have gotten a rear that will not break as easy. Its worth the investment.

4.10s are good for a bolt on only car, once you add the nitrous your gonna need to either step up to a taller tire or go back to a higher gear like 3.73. I ran 4.10s and went 3 tenths faster and 2mph faster in the quarter than the 3.42's with just a few bolt ons. Once i added the nitrous, I was running out of gear badly. About 6500 rpm at the finish line when i aim to shift at 6k.
Bolt ons only - 4.10s
Bolt ons + nitrous - 3.73
But dont expect anything to last too long, i broke an axle and my 4.10s have whined since a week after they broke in. Now after replacing axles and bearing twice Im upgrading rear ends.
