Would it be dumb to get this 3rd member?

I'm planning on installing a 9" at one point down the road, on a 4x4 forum a guy is wanting to trade a 4.11 3rd member complete with an auburn posi for a 650 carb.

I already said I have the carb, but I'm wondering if that posi will hold up to the abuse? As of now I just have headers catback and a monster stage 3 clutch, but heads and cam are in the near future.
