Driveshaft length problems!
Driveshaft length problems! Ok I just got a moser 9" and used my factory driveshaft with the conversion u joint, I think the 1330?
The stock sticks out of the transmission bout 1/2 inch.
Had a shop order up a driveshaft for me, comes in before I throw it on a compare to the stocker, it's 2 inches shorter and joint is much bigger, wouldn't look like it would fit on yoke....so take it back shop orders another thinking parts got mixed. I then get a call they got the new one and it's the same...
Shop telling me that I need to get this special ordered, he had called slp and another driveshaft maker asking if it was right and they said that they have neveradr one that length fir my application....
My car is 02 transam with a t56, nothing moved no tranny mounts or engine mounts changed....
My initial thought is that the damn thing was for a 12 bolt cause I thought they were shorter.
Can someone shed some light on this dilemma of mine please!!

The nine inch length should actually be one inch longer than the stock driveshaft. Bob
