Default Camaro 10 bolt question.

Are all the 10 bolts the same? I have a two 3.73 gear sets for an s10 and another for a tahoe with set up kits. Would either one of these work for my car? I have a 94 LT1 6 speed car.

I'm not positive but i think the axles are different lengths in different cars. Also they have different mounting points for all the things connected to it. This is just from seeing a few pictures of different 10 bolts.

And unless you can get one of the really old ones with an 8.5" ring gear, you're wasting your time with any of them, regardless of what they came out of.

No, the ring and pinions aren't the same. The gear sets are different in that the thickness of the ring differs, depending on the carrier. I believe the break point is 3.23, so it shouldn't effect you but it's something to watch for.

I have 3.42s in mine. So you are saying that neither of these ring and pinions will work caue the ring gear is thicker and wont work with my carrier?

3.73 gearsets for an S10 should be 3 series. You can verify series by measuring. Your 94 6speed car is,as you stated 3.42,is 3 series.
