8.8 diff Ok so the 8.8 isn't in a f-body its in my winter beater, a 98 expedition. The spyder gears came apart and has chipped the pinion gear on one tooth. My question is what parts, if any are interchangeable with a mustang diff? And what years should i look for? Also looking for oppinions on how the diff would
hold up with the damaged pinion? I'm trying to keep it as cheap as possible, or do i just spen the money and fix it right. Thanks for any help I can get.

If its a 31 spline, you will only be able to use 31 spline carrier parts, Out of all the 8.8s that ive seen ,all 31 spline parts are all the same, and you can not interchange any 28 spline parts with them unless you change the complete carrier and axles
