12 bolt gear question
12 bolt gear question I've got 3.73s in my 12 bolt right now and plan on going to either 4.10 or 4.30 in the future and I have a couple questions.
- Will any 12 bolt gears from any year 12 bolt work?
- Where can I find some for a 12 bolt? Most places I've looked, they only offer for 10 bolt or they are 30 spline for 12 bolt.
I have a 3 channel 12 bolt 33 spline and plan on running a 28 inch tire.

If you are replacing a 3.73, you need a 4.10 or 4.30 gear for a 3 series carrier. You just have to mention this when ordering.
Standard 4.10 gears are designed for a 4 series carrier & are a different thickness.
All 12 bolts gears are the same except for the 12 bolt trucks... these are different.
