10 bolt shot??
10 bolt shot?? Im wondering if my rear is coming to an end,if i get on it hard in 1st i hear a thudding/pop noise coming from the drivers side rear wheel area.Im on street tires and if i hit it hard enough to spin them it doesn't make the noise.Seems to only do it right at the point before the tires break loose but dont if you get what i mean.Thanks for any help...my car is a 6 speed btw
I dont think its wheel hop,although it does have 130k with no suspension mods i had major wheel hop on my last fbod and this sounds/feels nothing like. this sounds like metal popping and hitting against something.
thats what my wheel hop sounded like, pulled my torque arm off and i have two or three good rips in the stock metal. One was on top and it looks like it might have been hitting my tunnel. Also my stock trans mounth came off in 5 pieces and was letting everything to crazy things back there.
In my experience, a rear end doesnt care what rpm or load is on it when its going out, if its got a weak spot it is making noise every time. Does your shift stick lift up when you floor it?
