my trans am ok guys, got rid of 94 z28, 87 iroc, and 85 vette lol. now i have a 96 ws6, 0 miles, engine has been fully gone through almost everything is brand new, even has a comp cam 306(almost entire engine has lifetime warrantee). brand new clutch, put a stock clutch since it came with lifetime warrantee, but now, unfortunately my stock gears are bad. i like high end power, so i was thinking about sticking with the stock 342's, but where would 373's put me? my car is really fast, just grinds when i dig in u know?
any help would be great, and no, i dont want 410's, dont plan on being the track, might take it once, but i love going fast on the freeway. this is not my daily driver, just a toy.

based on above:3.42=254mph 3.73=233mph
neither of which are attainable,but just to show you're top speed wouldn't be affected but time to reach your top speed will improve due to the torque advantage(9 % of 3.73s' over 3.42s').
BUT the OEM 3.42s are a stronger gearset than 3.73s',gain acceleration & lose strenght.
