bad axle shaft?

bad axle shaft? Purchased this axle shaft from Summit Racing and my first question is in regards to the installation. Should any axe shaft require any force to install it into the differential?
I have called the axle manufacture (Superior Axle and Gear) and they said this should be fine, that most aftermarket axle shafts are built this way. I told them that the splines don't look perfect and offered to send them pics of the splines but they said it would not be necessary. They told me i could get a wire wheel and go over the splines and that it should help it loosen up.
