Arrow Thunder Racing Package

Looking to get my SS a 373 gear swap and came across this kit, i have an m6 in the car with full exhaust and a tune, i drive the car everyday, and it is not a track car, i dont beat the crap out of it, i never launch the car higher then 3k, just wanna have fun, i have mt radials out back, just wanna get some better accel in 1st gear, i have the stock carrier in there now, my question is should i replace the stock posi unit in there? or will it hold up wit the new gears? also does this kit come wit that solid spacer deal that i heard is good? any input would be greatly appreciated

Putting money in a 10 bolt is a waste IMO specially with a M6, just a matter of time before you destroy it.

Well I am new to a F-body/M6 and drive for fun not competition, I am replacing my 3.42 with a Motive 3.90 and Master install kit. I have no reason to think the posi has issues but will find out when its apart, if I were going further with performance mods, from what I have read the 10 bolt will not take it! Because I am not and want to keep it simple I am willing to play with the stocker until there are issues! I think a lot of it is driving style and expectations. Les>>>

I have had 3.73s since I bought the car because thats what mine had so I cant tell you how noticeably better it is. I even put some pretty good launches on mine & never had any problems but I am going with a 9 inch because I dont want to worry about breaking at the track. You should be ok going this route as long as its not something like 4.10s. If your not hooking it should last a little while but why do you have mt radials?

I got a feeling the tires are not the reason that you wrecked, unless they were worn out with no tread left. I cant imagine mt DRs are any good in the rain. I just bought some mt DRs but if I didnt track the car I would just run regular tires. Theyre a lot cheaper.

No its not necessary. I just installed a new crush sleeve when I rebuilt mine & I havent had any problems with it. That was a few years ago. They say the solid spacer is better but I dont know who sells them.
