Default Gov-Lock Carrier

I just bought a rear differential carrier from a member on here. It was supposed to be a used one out of a stock 02 Camaro Z28 with 58,000 miles. I assumed it would be a Torsen. What I received was a Gov-Lock. After doing some research, most people say the Gov-Locks are junk. My main question is: did any camaro's come with the Gov-lock? If not, then what vehicle would this have come out of? and how bad are they?

I installed it yesterday and everything is working good. Both tires are spinning, etc. How long can I expect that to last?

Anyone? I really need to know if it's possible that this carrier came out of a 2002 Camaro.
