Default Anybody running Yukon Dura Grip

Anyone runnig one of these? They are based off the stock Trac Lock ford posi. They have a race and a street model. I know they have clutches in them and just wondering how long they are holding up.

Sounds like its a pretty strong unit.

I am also thinking about this center housing from Quick Performance.

we have used the Yukon dura-grip with great success. it is a nice billet case with hardened internals, carbon clutches, and rebuild parts are available if ever need be.

I'd stay away from the case you have listed... it is not near as strong as the others in the same design and most of that is due to the heat treat and type of aluminum alloy used. that case would be fine in a 300hp car with an A4 trans and never raced. it comes down to this... you get what you pay for and if you have a failure it's gonna cost you a hell of alot more to repair the damage it causes and then still have to buy a good center section... and that is not gonna be even close to the 100.00 difference for the good case in that design. if you have a center section failure you will have to replace the bearings, ring and pinion set, pinion support, drive yoke probably, driveshaft for sure, and maybe even exhaust, torque arm, and floor pan damage. is that worth saving 100.00 for a no-name imported case? I'm not saying that case is a pos, but definitely not for any 3000 pound plus f-body car with even stock power.

Out of curiosity, the link:

Shows a carrier that I don't think will even fit in a 9" Ford. Is there a picture of the actual unit?

Carl from Central Racing Parts sent me this link:

Look on the right side to see how many other LS units work.

I think that is just a genaric picture. I ended up going with the Ford Motorsport stock type posi and Yukon threw bolt aluminum center.

Cool video, I guess this is how the stock Torsen works as well?

I knew deep down not to go with that case. So I went with the Yukon.
