I just made arrangements to purchase a 12 bolt, 3 series with 3.42 gears, a eaton posi and I think it is a 4 channel set up for traction control and ABS.

My car is a 3 channel set up for just ABS. My question is can I reuse the 10 bolt reluctor ring on the new 12 bolt or will I need a 12 bolt specific ring. I believe I am having a 4.10 put in to it so shimming and gear set up will not be an issue.

No,a 10 bolt 3 channel reluctor ring will not fit on a 12 bolt carrier.

Thanks for the information. Any ideas where you can get one? Is it even worth all the extra work just to keep ABS? Mostly street driven car...

Contact the company that makes the rear, they will help you. And if you do not plan on ditching the ABS just have them include the ring regardless, helps for resale if you ever do so down the road.
