Default Rear End Noise

I have a 2000 trans am ws6 m6 and it makes an annoying noise when taking off in first gear. The noise only happens when taking off from a complete stop slow, as soon as I let the clutch all the way out it makes the noise and then goes away as soon as I give it more gas. The sound is hard to explain almost like I'm dragging something under the rear of the car. It only has 12,000 miles and is never beaten on so I don't think the rear end is blown. Ive searched all over and found old threads about a can of marbles noise and that its a normal sound for fbodys and corvettes with 6 speeds but I'm not sure if this is the sound I'm hearing. Anyone have an idea?
