any advice? I think that,my rear is about ready to go. The prev owner beat the hell outta her, and the.wear is showing. ive always had a little play in my rear, and recently when i go to pull outta a parking space, and take that tight turn, it almost.feels like my rear slides to the opposite side. Like idk if an axle.is looose or wat. But my issue is i plan on doing a motor.build.come.this. coming winter, and i was goona get a new tranny and rear then. I was goona go with an s60. I mean i could just do the rear.now, but would.prefer to do it all at,once and i dont have 2500 for the rear. Any advice? WWJD? LOL
LMAO!! Sorry had to do it.
My advice would be to pull the cover of the back and make sure you dont have a broken c-clip or something. That c-clip is what holds the axles in(just in case you didnt know) and a whole axle could come out.
If you have the factory stamped steel torque arm, make sure it isn't coming apart. They start to bend approx six inches ahead of the rear. When these torque arms really start to fail, they can cause the rear to slightly move. Also check out the panhard bar too. Bob

update:
i have a new symptom. its an m6 car, and say im driving at 2000 rpms, i push in the clutch, rev it to 2500, and quickly releasethe clutch, the car surges, and i hear a really deep bang bang from the rear of my car. also, i hear what almost sounds like a clack clack, or metal hitting and bouncing off of each other. both sounds occur at the same time. i also kinda feel it a little in my shifter.
lol and unrelated to the topic, my gf was reading while i wrote, and asked me if m6 meant that i have 6 motors.
