Default Welds on LCA Bolts?

Hey guys,

I just bought an 02 bird and I didn't notice this before but whoever had it last for some reason welded the nuts on the lower control arm in the front. I'm just wondering what could be the reason for this and do you think I'm going to run into any problems removing it and replacing the LCA.

Thanks
Joe

If you are talking about the front of the rear end LCA's, this will only be a problem if you want to put bolt on sub frame connectors as they slide over the outsides of those LCA mounts.

If you are talking about the lower control arms in the front suspension of the car, you'll have to remove the welds on the nuts to adjust your alignment.
