Weight difference 9inch vs 8.8?
Does anyone know the total weights of these two setups?
I was going to build an 8.8, but i think im gonna change my mind. Is weight any reason to still go with the 8.8?
Moser fabricated housing/axles/torque arm package. if you added an aluminum center section to his package, it usually comes out to the same weight as the 10 bolt. This package ships out just two days after it is ordered!

Take a look at the above link for my very low Moser center sections prices. Thanks. Bob

We can put together a lighter fabricated nine inch than anyone else can all while still keeping it street friendly. (As street friendly as a spool may be) You have to keep in mind some things will have to be sacrificed to really get into cutting weight back.
I have a chassis with a built 8.8 with everything I can do to cut weight off and out of it and will be swapping it to one of our housings next year because after doing the math I should be able to save a few more pounds with our fabricated housing.
Comparing an 8.8 to a 10 bolt with comparable components the 8.8 would be heavier. I had an 8.8 we was building for a local customer and weighed it but can not find the weight off hand.
We have a few customers right now going the extra mile with weight savings and trying for the N/A records. We have put a ton of thought into ways to help these guys out.
