I've searched but can't really get exact details.. Any one know of any? Maybe even sites?

hey i found this....
you really gotta know what to do and what to look for when your setting it up. one wrong thing and it was make some pretty obnoxious sounds. your gonna need a dial indicator to start as well

If you haven't ever done it before the first step is to take it to a professional.. the second step is to pick it up when its done.. good luck

what rear end?


I just did a set in my S60 and posted a tread in there "hows my pattern look" and I linked some writes up and servise manuals for a dana60.
Check pirate4x4 there lots of good tech arctics on rear ends there. And goggle a service manual for the rearend you have.

I have a spare 10 bolt in my garage with way too much play between the ring & pinion to put back in a car so I may pick up a set of used gears and try throwing them in myself

I built up a spare and I think it's a great way to do it, there's no stress about the car being down and the rear is alot easier to work on out of the car. I found this install manual from Yukon to be very helpful:
