I'm pulling the center section studs into the housing. I was pulling them into the housing and about halfway in, the threads on the stud stripped. I have 8 of them done and 2 of them did this. Not sure what I did wrong as the other 8 went in ok. Does anyone know if these can be bought from a local auto store or do they have to be ordered from Moser? I'll call a couple of axle places tomorrow but just wondering if anyone has had a similar problem and might now where to get them without having to order.

I doubt you would only be able to buy 2 of them.

edit...I just remembered I have 7 of them on my work bench. I messed up 3 of them when I put mine on. I can send you a couple so you don't have to buy all ten like I did.

I made some phone calls today and found a place locally that has them. Thanks for the offer though!

Still wondering why these did that...I would think they would be hardened but who knows.

I installed the bolts with a big c clamp and useing a socket as a receiver, this way there is no strain on the threads
