I just finished the built t56 swap in my T/A. When I put the driveshaft back in it looks funny to me... but then again I was not under the car when it was taken apart so I dont know for sure.

With the car jacked up and the rear axle unloaded is there supposed to be this much of a gap between the shaft and the tail of the trans?

 

Looks fine to me. When the wheels are loaded it should go in the tailshaft a bit more.

 

I figured it was ok. Its the same trans and driveshaft that was in it before... I just thought the gap seemed a bit big is all.
