housing issues/ possible ideas?
housing issues/ possible ideas? So i have killed yet another set of 373s in my factory 10 bolt. (this makes the 2nd set). they dont just go out all at once; they get really really loud and then BANG. my factory 342s did the same thing but i pulled them before the rearendf went, and the shims were laying in the housing like they had came apart. could it be a defect in the housing?
next questions
1. i can get a 323 non posi rearend for like 100 bucks. what would 323 gears be like under my car? its M6, so would my power band just move, or?
2. if i get the 323 rearend, could i put my locker unit from my current rearend into the 323 rearend without having to do any shimming?
3. i know where theres a totaled 01 Z28 M6 that i could probably get a rearend from for cheap. but when i say the car is totaled, i mean the rocker panel is literally touching the drive shaft. so my question is, if i got that rearend could it be bent or otherwise messed up? anyway to check this before hand?
