98 WS6 Posi Unit?
From the factory production line,98s' and earlier got Auburn,99s' and later got Torsen.
If it's a SLP car,the SLP sheet would indicate if they put a different posi in it as an option after it left the factory and was in their facility.

Auburns typically last 100,000+ miles before the cone clutches wear out and the unit starts acting like a non-posi. The weak point are the 'spiders' which break.
Torsens don't 'wear-out' but have 3 flaws/weak points. 1.the bolts holding the unit together break. 2.the bolts holding the unit together loosen/back-out and then break when they hit something internally in the rearend housing. 3.the flange holding the internal gearset in breaks at its' weak rib points.
