Default Rear end width????
My friend is looking to give me his 8.5 out of his 73 camaro and i was wondering the difference in size between the 7.5 and the 8.5

It should be 56" opposed to 65" your current length so you would use a rim with 5.5" backspace instead of 7.5"......

Did some measuring today.......
1993-2002 f-body axles are 32" each
1970-1981 f-body axles are 30 5/32
I apologize for my 56" measurement that was for my old spring pad mount in my old camaro...
