axle install got a 4 channel housing out of a 2002 SS to replace the one in my 4 channel trans am. the axles had already been sold out of it so i was planning to just swap an old pair into the housing.
passenger side slide in just fine. removed the tcs sensor, pushed it in, installed the c clip, and pulled it back out to cover the clip.
the driver side will not get anywhere close to moving in far enough to install the c clip. i've tried everything i can think of, even removed the backing plate to see if it was hitting that somewhere.
well now i cant even get it to slide back out. theres no c clip on it b/c it wont slid in far enough but the thing will not slide back out of the housing. what am i missing?

I think eather the spline on the axle from your old rear is twisted( what happened to your old one )
or the spline in " new " is twisted and the axle is binding in the carrier
if you can not pull the axle bolt a wheel on the axle and use a big hammer to beat from inside out OR most Orilley will rent a puller very cheep
