This guy has a good install instruction manual.

Buy this stuff before you get started:

5 quarts of 80W-90 Gear Oil - DO NOT USE SYNTHETIC!
1 4oz tube of GM gear additive
a press
cross over u-joint - you are going from a stock driveshaft to the 1350 joint onthe 12 bolt. A look for a NAPA 447X u-joint which is the same as a Spicer u-joint
3/8" 20 nuts x8 for caliper brackets

Also, I wouldn't recommend trying this without a good set of air tools. Some bolts are REALLY rusted on. An impact wrench is a must.

Also, if you need the exciter rings off the old axels, the bolt that holds the rod in the differential is a BITCH to get off, luckily I had a new axle put on my 10 bolt recently, so the bolt came out easy. Look into buying new exciter rings from GM.

I had to shave a bit off the parking brake bracket to make it fit on the new rear end (the axle housing is bigger, and therefore interferes with the brake bracket). So get a cutter tool or a nice grinder. I had to drill 2 holes to fit the mounting bracket on as well. The 10 bolt had slots drilled, the 12 bolt replacement didn't.

If you have the cash, you might as well replace the torque arm, sway bar, panhard bar, lower control arms , and springs. The rear end is off, so get it done. but if you don't have the cash, like me, just cry as you see how much work you will have to do if you wait till later.

I just went at it and started taking it apart, I think mine is good, all that is left is to get the bearings pressed on the new axles and mount them up!

Oh yeah, get a camaro shop manual for torque settings, along with a nice torque wrench. My manual one sucks.

don't forget longer wheel studs if thick flange wheels and slicks are in the near future.

I got the rearend together.

Make sure you follow the worthless Moser directions for press order. They do not mention the exciter rings, but those should go on first. Napa got mine off without a hitch, so I guess you don't need to buy new exciter rings, unless you can't easily get the axles out. Once the exciter ring is pressed on, place the caliper mounting plate on there. It will be lose, but that's OK, it bolts up to the axle housing. Then press on the bearing and the bearing ring that came with the rearend. The Moser instructions should say the correct orientation for things.

Next, really clean the inside of the axle housing and the axles themselves with brake cleaner. Using those gold grommet looking things, place those in the axle housing with the open end facing in. You can use a bearing press or an oversized socket to really hammer it home. then slide in the axles and beat them in the rest of the way with a rubber mallet. You have to take off the E-brakes from the caliper plate to screw on the axle. Use the Tee bolts and the nuts you bought to get it attached. I used locking washers as well.

that should be about it. I'll let you know how the final install goes for me tonight. I just got my U-joint installed by Napa, and I need to remove the axles to put the bushings in, but it went pretty smooth. I haven't figured out how to get my sway bar re-mounted, but otherwise it has been an OK task
