Default Best gear oil?

I have a stock rear end, no engine mods and no urgent plans to upgrade, just a stock 97 formula ws6 6 speed with 67k miles. What is the best gear oil that will tone the rear end noise down?

No gear oil is going to cover a failing rear end. Stock rear ends should be dead silent from my experience.
