Default vibration and howling

OKay, so I not much knowledgable with rear diffs... but enough to take axles out and replace axle bearings...
Like the title states, that's the issue I'm having. SO I replaced both axle bearings with timkins. Noise is still there. I couldn't get my pass.side axle back in so easy, so I loosen up the bearing caps for that side and looked up online tq speq of 85ft lbs to tighten them back up, but they just keep turning, tq wrench never clicked and I know it was over 85 ft lbs... so i questimated by un doing the left side cap bolts...
WELL, the same noise is there. I do have a leak from the pinoin. there's oil on u-joint and tq arm. is there a bearing on the pumpkin for the pinoin???
Any info, please help.
Thanks in advance

As far as the howling, when I had that similar sound it was my axles. Back in 06 I believe, I had new axles, bearings, seals, and new gears installed by mechanic. My noise was more like being beside a tractor trailer on interstate. Drove me nuts. I also last year got my pinion seal replaced because it had leaked for years and that was long enough. I just replaced my axle seals and bearings myself last weekend cause they both leaked bad. My new axles were fine. I had a problem getting the passenger side axle out and had to get my son to flip the axle pin clip off while I pryed slightly, so it would come off.The only thing that was wrong with my axles back in 06 is that on the long shaft part there was alot of flaking of the metal. I have no clue how that was the noise but for me it was. The mechanic had replaced my gears first, then he had to replace the axles after I picked the car up and the howling was still there.
