Necessary to purchase a complete gear installation pkg?

Default Necessary to purchase a complete gear installation pkg?

Should i just purchase the ring gear and pinion or should i get the whole installation kit?

You will need the kit. Normally you can find the install kit where you purchased the ring and pinion. You maybe able to get away with using the stock shims but you will need the rest of the kit to complete the install.

Thanks for the info. I was just seein if i could get by. Ive got the money for the install kit so ill go ahead and order the whole shabang. Im just not sure what carrier I have.

Do you have traction control?
What is the the gear ratio in your car?

Answer those two questions and someone can tell you what carrier you have.

I have a 98trans am no TC. Was an auto car but i swapd in a M6. I think i might have 3.23s...
