Default AbS Toner Ring?

Hey guys, i have recently took my rear end out of my 96 ss camaro which has torsen differential which i am not happy with after seeing two big cracks on each side of it but i am installing a new gear and i had to get a new carrier so i went with a eaton posi and wanted to know what the easiest way to put the abs toner ring back on the carrier. I have tired everything to heating it up and tapping it on and everything. Any one have good luck with this?? Thanks

Actually i have even tried that and didn't have that same luck as you did. Im just trying to figure out the easiest way because i bent my first toner ring and my other one is one the way and i don't want to bend another one. Thanks

how have you heated it? i use a torch with a small tip and tap them on with a hammer.

With a space construction heater got it pretty hot i though but seemed like as soon as it touched the carrier it cooled down to quick i believe im going to try and use the torch next.

just keep the torch moving on the inside of the ring keeping 2-3 inches from the tip to the ring. i usually spit on it or drop water on it while heating it. when the water jumps right off and sizzles it should be hot enough. just keep the torch moving.
