How long of wheel studs?
I was looking for some ARP Wheel Studs to replace the stock ones whenever I install gears and axles into my 10 bolt. How long should they be to be able to have drag radials at the track? Is 12mm long enough? As this link from TSP says good for street or strip use, but then again I have no idea.

Thanks!

12mm is the diameter of the stock press in studs. From tip to tip they measure 52.8mm...which is just over 2".
I believe my new strange axles have 3" long 1/2" screw in studs. You need the right axles for screw ins, 1/2 is the biggest "normal" wheels will accept. They are quite a bit bigger than several posts in this forum might leave you to believe compared to 12mm.

Ah gotcha, how long do the 3" long studs stick out with the stock wheels on the car?
What is generally a recommended length for a street car that wants to have the capability to put on some drag radials and be able to tech in at the race track? But then again not have the studs sticking WAY out with normal wheels.

If you ever plan on changing your rims find out what length you will need for them! If not and plan on keeping Stockers the 2 1/2" ones would be sufficient but get open ended lug nuts too!
