Default Need help please asap!!

I ordered a set of motive 4.10 gears to go in my car (m6 3 series torsen carrier). When I took it out of the box and set it next to my stock 3.42 gear I noticed it was considerably thicker. Shouldn't the gears be the same thickness? The box designates the correct part number but I'm wondering if they stuck the wrong gear in the box?!?! Any help is greatly appreciated as I want to get these things in.

this is due to the fact there is less teeth on the pinion gear, making the pinion smaller in diameter, hence the compensation of extra material on the ring gear

^^^Yep, pinion is smaller meaning the ring has to get thicker to make up the distance.
