Default About to purchase, question about spool

I'll start of by saying that they're absolutely nothing wrong with my carrier now (mwc billet clutch posi), it works perfectly. I am however about to swap from my 4.10 gears to 4.30s before I go in for a tune the 20th and while I have it apart I've been thinking of going ahead and throwing a spool in. My question now, will a spool effect my et any amount at all? Since its less rotational weight maybe a few hundreths? Also I see they're a lot of different brands, motive, strange, all star etc. Is one brand any better than the other and would I be better off with aluminum, steel, lightened steel? The car does see some street use but not a lot. Somewhere around 1k a year. Sometimes more sometimes less. Its a M6 450rwhp.

A spool does have a slightly less rotational weight to is, as you mentioned, which will help. Both tires will also be tied together all the time, so you may get better traction than you are with the differential. I can't say that any one brand is going to do a better job for you, but I don't recommend going with an aluminum spool, it won't last long as the axles tend to chew it up especially when one is used with any street driving is encountered.
