Question Clunking at take offs....normal???

My rearend clunks pretty hard whenever I take off ...but I don't know if it's because of my 3.73's that makes 2nd gear kick in pretty hard or is it normal...It feels like a somebody literally kicks my rearend!...I also have the Eaton Posi trac ...what could it be?
1.Normal?
2.check rearend fluid.?
3. not enough of the limited slip additive ?

Also...what kind of gear oil for the Eaton Posi...I hear synthetic and then I hear non synthetic?....which one??
Thanx!
